Agentic security platform led by Mandiant, Google, Meta, and NSA veterans tackles analyst overload and rising threats.
Embed Security, the agentic security platform company empowering security teams, announced today that it has raised $6M in an early stage financing led by Paladin Capital Group, a leading investor in cyber and AI security companies, with participation from industry executive angel investors.
Founded in 2024, co-founders Seth Summersett and Jeffrey Johns are using their experience from Google, Meta, FireEye, Mandiant, and the NSA to solve the challenge of the overwhelming volume of cyber threat alerts that overburden even the most sophisticated organizations. Specifically, manual effort of triaging of security alerts causes slower reaction times to real threats and distracts analysts from proactive threat hunting, increasing organizational vulnerability.
“Overworked analysts are struggling to keep up with the sheer volume of threats,”
said Seth Summersett, Co-Founder & CEO of Embed Security.
“Our platform uses AI and other ML techniques to autonomously investigate alerts, determine real threats, and guide analysts on next steps.”
Embed provides scalable, complete threat coverage with autonomous triaging, including the investigation and prioritization of threats across the entire security stack, while empowering the analyst, not replacing them. The agentic security platform reduces repetitive tasks and enables teams to focus on high-value work like remediation, threat hunting, and learning. Embed continuously learns and adapts to new threats, enhancing its effectiveness over time.
“The traditional model of heavily relying on human effort to manually triage threats is unsustainable,”
said Mourad Yesayan, Managing Director at Paladin Capital Group and Embed Security Board member.
“We’re excited to support Seth and Jeff as they build the next generation of AI-driven technologies for cyber security operations, enabling security teams to be more efficient, proactive, and effective.”
Embed’s system builds trust by providing transparent, clear explanations and evidence that align with analyst intuition. The technology is currently being tested with early-access customers in the automotive, insurance, legal, and technology sectors. With this funding, the company will accelerate R&D, expand customer engagements, and build out a world-class team to continue solving critical cyber security challenges.
“We are thrilled to have Paladin Capital Group on board for this growth phase,”
said Seth Summersett.
“This funding will help us bring cybersecurity into the next era of AI, empowering organizations to stay ahead of evolving threats with speed, precision, and confidence.”
