Bio
Frank Caufield is co-founder and Managing Partner at Darwin Ventures. Frank has over 20 years experience in Venture Capital investing as both a limited partner and angel investor. In addition to his work at Darwin Ventures, Frank has been involved in high technology finance, business development, marketing and sales. Prior to Darwin Ventures he founded MarkLogic, Inc. where he was responsible for the company's sales, marketing and business development activities. He left after he successfully secured venture funding from Sequoia Capital. Frank also worked at the Xerox Venture Lab where he was responsible for creating value from Xerox PARC technologies. While at Xerox, he engineered the spinout of Outride Corporation, the first Xerox PARC spinout in almost a decade. The company was sold to Google in 2000. Prior to that, Frank worked at America Online where he created the AOL@School service. Frank is an active angel investor, outdoor enthusiast, father and husband. Frank received a B.A. from the University of San Francisco, and a M.B.A. from the Anderson School of Business, UCLA.
