Camila Folkmann

Bio

Camila Folkmann is co-founder and managing partner at Mindset Ventures. With more than 10 years of experience in working with big corporations, financial institutions, funds, and startups, Camila started her career as a corporate lawyer, having worked for major law firms assisting Fortune 500 clients in M&A, debt restructurings, judicial reorganizations and other corporate matters. After developing a new set of business skills at the University of California, Berkeley (Global Business Management; Venture Capital), Stanford University (Communication) and UCSC Extension (Computer Programming), she had her own Silicon Valley experience by working at two different startups in the Bay Area – Cheapest Online and HandsOn.TV. At HandsOn.TV, Camila was the Head of Operations and Strategic Partnerships, assisting the marketing team and organizing the two editions of the startup competition “Pitch It”. A few years later, and before founding Mindset Ventures, Camila joined Acelera Partners in Brazil as the company’s Chief Legal & Compliance Officer. As one of the first Brazilian female founders of a Venture Capital firm, she also supports diversity initiatives, being part of the group “Venture Women Brazil”.
