Appointed non-executive director of Charlemagne Capital in August 1997 and was chairman from that time until March 2006. Began his career with GT Management in the US and in Hong Kong and later became the co-founder and managing director of Thornton Management (Asia) Ltd based in Hong Kong and was a director of Tyndall Holdings plc. Currently a director of Fixed Odds Group Limited, betinternet.com plc, Burnbrae Limited, Sleepwell Hotels Limited, Speymill Property Managers Limited and various other investment companies. Chairman and co-founder of Regent. Masters Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.
