Mathias Schilling is co-founder and Managing Partner of e.ventures. Mathias currently oversees the firms’ investments in Acorns, Axios, GoPuff, PSafe, The RealReal, Voicera and Yeahka and is responsible for past investments including Groupon (NASDAQ:GRPN), Angie’s List (NASDAQ:ANGI), Sonos, Yume Networks (NYSE:YUME), AppFolio (NASDAQ:AAPF), BlueKai (acq. Oracle), Makers Studios (acq. Disney) and Shipt (acq. TGT). Mathias started his career at Bertelsmann, Europe’s largest media company, working on a number of M&A and joint venture transactions including AOL Studios, Amazon, Barnes & Noble.com and CompuServe. In 1999, he joined the founding team to create the venture capital firm BV Capital (now known as e.ventures) and became its Managing Partner in 2004. He was instrumental in launching the e.ventures funds in Brazil and Asia.
Mathias holds a Master in Finance from St. Gallen University, one of Europe’s leading business schools. He is a Director of the Dignity Fund and a member of Atlantic Bridge e.V.
