Overview
Cubbit is a cloud storage enabler (and not a storage provider - they do not own data centers). The company sells software to enterprises so that they can set up a cloud storage solution. The data is stored in a growing network of Cubbit’s partners' data centers (and the client’s infrastructure). At the heart of Cubbit’s offering is encryption and geo-distribution of data. It applies a concept used in databases called sharding, which means partitioning something into smaller and more manageable parts.
